Roundup - Week 4

 

8th grade

Tier 1

 

Timmy Smatana scored two goals and set up another and Jarrett Scoppettuolo had a goal and an assist in Lynnfield’s 5-1 victory over Windham; and Marshall wore the hat and added an assist as Storm 78 downed Woburn 9-2.

 

Tier 2

 

Phil Boncore scored with 2:17 left and Petey Silverman, who also had an assist, then scored his second goal of the game with 1:25 remaining to give Winthrop a 5-5 tie with Westford – Mike Holgersen with 1-2-3 for Winthrop and No. 71 1-2-3 and Cam Joos 1-1-2 for Westford; No. 2’s second goal of the game started a rally with 9:94 left, Christian Walzel then scored with 6:11 remaining and notched his second assist of the game on Isaac Idarraga’s goal with 3:28 left to give Groton/Dunstable a 4-4 tie with Burlington – McLean and Steiner with two goals apiece and Lopes two assists for Burlington; and Barone wore the hat, Allard scored twice and Venturi posted 1-1-2 as Sanborn trimmed North Andover 8-5 – Fitzpatrick with a hat trick in the loss.

7th grade

Tier 1

 

Cam Penti scored with 1:34 left to give Billerica a 3-3 tie with Chelmsford – Caden Spolidoro with 1-1-2 for Billerica; Sullivan wore the hat and Gagnon had two assists as Triton downed Melrose 5-1; and Cashman scored nine second into the game and Owen Doherty matched that goal later in the first period of a 1-1 tie.

 

Tier 2

 

In the only game, Nick Brissette scored five goals and Mikey Covelluzzo also wore a hat in Wakefield’s 9-3 victory over Saugus – Jack Hall with two goals and an assist in the loss.

 

Tier 3

 

Charlie Siciliano scored his second goal of the game with 3:19 left and Charles Demeo then came through with 1:47 remaining to give Bedford a 3-2 decision over North Andover – Sheehy with two goals and No. 53 two assists in the loss; Jack Welby wore the hat and Hughston Hurt had two assists as Windham topped Timberlane 6-3; Ryan Dempsey scored with 6:48 left to answer a Mikey Thomas goal and give Exeter a 11 tie with Melrose; and Reed scored one goal and handed out three assists, Cantone wore the hat, Neal had 1-2-3, Doe 1-1-2 and Fitzpatrick the shutout as Exeter/Mystic Valley scored a big win over Westford.

6th Grade

Tier 1

 

No. 00, Brenden Modeski, Nolan Hackett and Tom Sartell (one assists) scored in a 2:56 span of the third period and Jason Shreenan had a goal and an assist as Dracut rallied past Burlington 5-3; and Casey scored twice and Bowen had two assists as Beverly downed Methuen 7-2.

 

Tier 2

 

Christian Mendez assisted on Cosmo Ciccarello’s goal with 23 seconds left and then scored with :04 on the clock to give Stoneham a 5-5 tie with Wakefield — Ciccarello adding an assist and Bryce Leonard a hat trick for Stoneham and Andrew Martin and No. 25 two goals apiece and Josh Hubert 1-1-2 for Wakefield; Max Cinelli, who also had an assist, snapped a 2-2 tie with 1:15 left and Nate Vitensi scored twice as Reading trimmed North Andover 4-2; Taukis clicked for two goals and two assists, B. Chisholm wore the hat and Chase posted 1-1-2 in Salem’s big win over Lynn; Evan Karacek’s second goal of the game, with 3:34 left, was the winner and Lexi Howard had two assists as Chelmsford pulled out a 5-5 tie with Medford — Phil Rotondo with a hat trick for Medford; and No. 91 wore the hat and added an assist, Gavin Callhan clicked for two goals and two assists and Sam Zucker pitched a shutout in Lexington’s 8-0 win over Beverly.

 

Tier 3

 

In the only game, Rex Friedholm wore the hat and added an assist, Carlos Lucchese scored twice, Oliver Ouellete had a goal and an assist and Jesse Rich pitched a shutout as Lincoln/Sudbury defeated Billerica 7-0.

 

Tier 4

 

No. 86 scored four goals, Adam Mouhib scored twice, Mikey Harrison had a goal and an assist and Bertie Kline two assists in Winthrop’s big win over Newton; Trudel and Yeung both scored twice as Windham downed Manchester/Essex 5-1; and Doherty wore the hat and Feingold scored four goals in Marblehead’s 9-2 victory over Chelmsford.

5th Grade

Chase Kaufman scored twice, No. 32 had a goal and an assist and Devin Baldwin pitched a shutout as Wakefield Grey downed Burlington 4-0; Covelluzzi wore a natural hat as Wakefield Red Topped Amesbury 5-1; and Parsons and Cuphone both wore hats and added an assist and Costa clicked for two goals and an assist in Merrimack Valley’s big win over Bedford.
