Roundup - Week 11

 

8th grade

Tier 1

In the only game, Tyler Frazee scored four goals and William Tarbox had a goal and an assist in Westford’s 6-4 victory over Storm 78 – Marshall with a hat trick in the loss.

 

Tier 2

Hayes scored two goals and set up two others and Venturi also scored twice in Sanborn’s 6-2 victory over the Crusaders, who got a goal and an assist from Kaiden Cianci; and No. 7 capped a hat trick and broke a 4-4 tie with 10:30 left and George MacKinnon had two assists as Cambridge trimmed the Warriors 6-4 – Kinzfogl with two goals in the loss.

 

7th grade

Tier 1

In the only game, Billerica’s Giblin and Salem’s Ben Chisholm swapped second-period goals in a 1-1 tie.

 

Tier 2

The only game played saw Tyler Muse scored five goals, Jack Wright post two goals and an assist, Leroy Hawkins a goal and a helper and Joe Smith the shutout as Melrose scored a big win over the Warriors.

 

Tier 3

Ryan Dempsey wore a natural hat in the first period and added two assists, Alex Lynn had two goals and an assist and Luke Dempsey also scored twice in Exeter’s 8-1 victory over Westford; Sean Sullivan and No. 5 both scored twice and No. 15 had two assists as North Andover trimmed Bedford 6-4 – Carter Georgette with two goals in the loss; and Mancini clicked for two goals and an assist, Theodore and Langlois both also scored twice and Bazin had a goal and an assist in Windham’s, 10-3 win over Timberlane – Slater O’Connor with two goals in the loss.

 

6th Grade

Tier 1

John O’Connor scored two goals and set up two others, Sean Patterson had two goals and an assist and William Greable also scored twice as Arlington downed Wakefield 6-4 – Brady Walsh and JP Casey with two goals apiece in the loss; Young scored one goal and handed out two assists, McElroy had a goal and an assist and Burlington scored three goals in 2:26 in the second period in a 4-2 victory over Methuen; and Teddy Tsoutsouris had two goals and an assist, Christian McCarthy had two assists and M. Baldassere came within 55.8 seconds of a shutout as Danvers topped Dracut.

 

Tier 2

Zach Steely scored one goal and set up another, Max Cinelli scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period and seven different players scored goals in Reading’s 7-5 victory over Medford; and Mendez scored twice, Giacchetto and Krasco both had a goal and an assist and Durso pitched a shutout as Stoneham stopped Lexington 6-0.

 

Tier 3

Carrabba scored two goals and handed out three assists and R. Johnson and Murphy both wore hats in Burlington’s 11-7 win over Cape Ann --- Joe Loiacano with a goal and an assist in the loss; and Peluso scored one goal and dished out three assists, Calderera wore the hat, Byron scored two goals and set up another and Robles pitched a shutout in Windham’s 8-0 victory over Newton.

 

Tier 4

In the only game, No. 68 scored two goals and set up another and No. 88 also scored twice as Groton/Dunstable defeated Peabody 9-2 – Patch with both goals in the loss.

5th Grade

Wakefield and Amesbury both won a game and tied each other. Biscoe wore the hat and M. Burns and Beede both scored two goals and set up another in Wakefield’s 7-4 victory over Bedford, Sophie Demeo with two goals in the loss; Vann DiLorenzo scored twice as Amesbury downed Burlington 4-1 –- and Holt Stickney scored both goals for Amesbury and Biscoe and Beede both scored for Wakefield in a 2-2 tie;

In the other game, Chase Kaufman scored five goals, including a natural hat, Brandon Howe posted three assists and Ryan McCarthy scored twice as Wakefield Grey topped Chelmsford 8-1.
